Up for consideration is the base section for the "ROCCHET" stool or side table by Kartell. The design is attributed to be by Giacometti. This was made in the USA by BEYLERIAN.This is for the base section only. The cushion and top insert in not included. The black colored stool was only made in the USA. Most of the European stools were in primary colors such as Yellow, Red, Blue, Green etc. There is a photo included of a White stool with black cushion for reference purposes. This is the style of post mid century, OP - Art, Plastic. Designers for KARTELL include Joe Columbo, Giotto Stoppino, Anna Castelli, and others. It is perfect for the owner of a base that has cracked or broken. It could be fitted with a top and used for a table. An insert could be constructed and a seat made for it with some plywood, foam, upholstery. The base is 15" high and the exterior diameter of both ends is 15.69" (15 and thirteen sixteenths). It is in excellent condition without cracks, chips or breaks. The washers and nut on the interior are rusty.
