Aldo Londi Bitossi Vase Pottery Ceramic Mid Century Italian Earthy Modern Brown

  

Available is a lovely example of mid-century modern ceramic made in Italy. It is hand signed on the base "1787 Italy".

The vessel is 10 1/4 tall and in in the shape of a one-handled amphora type vase. The shoulder is incised with dots and lozenges in matter brown to match the foot and the rim of the handle and lip. The rim, the neck and below the shoulder is glazed in a thick matte tan glaze. The same tan glaze is on the bottom as well. This beauty weighs 3lbs 6oz without additional packaging.
