Fabulous Alvino Bagni MCM lamp marked Italy in Sea Garden pattern with rough concave bottom. Produced by the Bitossi factory for Raymor. Lamp is 26 inches tall, 34 with harp. Lamp is heavy, approx 15 lbs.
It is available with or without drum shade which is burlap canvas lined and appears to be original but not sure. Also in excellent condition with exception of tiny rust spots on top rim not visible from front or on shade itself. Lamp has a chip on inner bottom rim but is barely visible from level surface and could easily be repaired. Please note chip in close up photo! Lamp is otherwise in near mint condition throughout with beautiful bright color variations across textured surface. A truly beautiful example of Italian ceramic lamps in the Bitossi era by celebrated midcentury Italian ceramicist Bagni.
Available with or without shade. Note: I previously misidentified this lamp as Londi in a previous listing, but it is Alvino Bagni.Same Bitossi factory in Italy but different artist. To clarify again the chip is barely visible from a level surface. It is mostly on underside of inner rim under the lamp. It could be mended easily. Or the hole could be redrilled thru one of the indented holes in bottom rim and turn it to the back. I have not done this purposely in order to not conceal the slight flaw.
