Bitossi MCM Vetrata Blue Italy Pottery Vase 12 h x 5.5 d Geometrical Abstract
A fabulous mid century modern Bitossi Italian pottery vase designed by Aldo Londi. This large ceramic vase was created in the 1960's in Italy by Bitossi Ceramiche. This is the popular decor called "Ventrata" or sometimes referred to as "Triangle", which was created with earthenware clay and hand decorated with dark blue and green glazed triangles on a turquoise/light blue base. The bottom of the vase has the piece # "941 B" and "Italy" also includes original sticker. The vase weighs about 3lbs and 4oz. And measures 5.5" d x 12" tall. It has a tiny glaze flake skip (white dot shown in picture) can be retouched, and a small hidden chip under the vase also shown in picture. No other issues, overall excellent condition only used for display.
