RARE Aldo Londi Bitossi Italian Covered Ceramic Bird Dish Displaying Multi Colored Feathers - Imported by Raymor. Up for consideration is this absolutely stunning Bitossi Piume (plume) lidded bird dish by Aldo Londi and is considered very RARE.
This piece was created sometime in the mid 1950s in Italy and has been painted with a multi colored feather pattern. It was believed to have been inspired by Stig Lindberg designs for Sweden's Gustavsberg Studios. This elongated dish will go with almost any Mid Century décor and will make an excellent focal point and statement piece wherever placed. The condition is excellent with only one very small chip on the tip of the bird's beak (has been colored black and is not noticeable unless pointed out and viewed closely). We must mention that there are also some minor factory defects that were noticed throughout but no imperfections are so apparent as to take away from this pieces overall presentation and beauty. 16W × 4.5D × 6.5H.
