Miniature Italian Millefiori Art Glass Bottle/Vase-Red/Green-Mid Century Modern

  

A most unusual and well executed example of Italian millefiori art glass most likely produced on the island of Murano, Italy. In the form of a miniature bottle or vase, a combination of red, green, white and black cane slices were applied to a cobalt blue base color glass. The bottle was most likely hand blown from the top and then factory ground. The vase stands just over 3 1/4" tall with the opening measuring 3/4" diameter. The base spans 1 1/4 across.

After thorough examination, I can find no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. Most likely produced in the first half of the 20th century.
