ViNTAGE Murano Black Cased Folded Bowl Silver Foil Multi-Color Tutti Frutti Italy. This gorgeous Murano Tutti Frutti hand-blown piece was made some time during the mid-20th Century. It is loaded with multi-color murrhines (semi-precious stones) and silver foil and is cased in black glass. This piece measures approximately 8" across and 2" deep, with some edges folded in, and is quite heavy. I see no chips or cracks, but there are two very tiny flea bites on edge of polished bottom. There is an approximate 1" x 1 1/4" smoothed-out recess where the pontil (metal rod used to hold the hot glass piece while being formed) was removed. This high-quality bowl is in excellent condition and would make a beautiful addition to your home decor.
