Murano Art Glass Modernist Picasso Head Sculpture 16 Inches Clear, Blue

  
This stylized art glass head in the modernist style calls to mind Pablo Picasso with his features stretched and elongated. The head itself is clear art glass infused with an elongated gather of blue within it, on a dark blue/black glass cylindrical base. It is marked with a sticker on the base "vetreria maestri muranesi" which translates into "Glassware Masters Murano", and also says "Made in Murano, Italy". There are also markings which look like they could be a signature on the bottom of the base, as shown in the last photo.

If it is a signature, we could not decipher it. The total height is 16 inches. The diameter of the base is 4.25 inches and the base is about 5.25 inches high..

Condition is used but good, with normal wear on the base, and the head itself in very good condition with minimal wear.. There are no scratches, cracks, chips, flakes or fractures. There are some gouges around the interior rim of the hollow base, completely hidden unless the bust is turned upside down and you look into the hollow base..
